Fast Track Dinner with One Pan Chicken Fajitas!

This week, I had the joy of joining CTV Morning Live to share ideas for quick, easy family meals to keep us energized and cozy as we settle into winter. One of my goals in the segment was to showcase the importance of simple, nourishing recipes that fit right into a busy schedule—without skimping on flavour or nutrition.

So many people ask me, Where do you find recipes that spark joy and save you time? One of my go-to resources is the Real Food Dietitians Website. Their recipes are built with busy families in mind and always feature nutritious, real-food ingredients that make mealtime a joy. The recipes are so versatile that I often find myself adapting them based on what’s in my pantry!

One recipe I featured on CTV this week was their Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas.

This is a perfect example of a meal that ticks all the boxes:

1.Nutrition-Packed – With lean chicken, bell peppers, onions, and warming spices, this meal is a powerhouse of protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals to keep everyone energized and feeling their best.

2.Time-Saving – Sheet pan recipes like this one are ideal for busy nights. Just toss everything onto one pan, season, and let the oven do the work! Clean-up is a breeze too, which is a win for any busy family.

3.Endless Possibilities – This recipe can be customized with your family’s favorite toppings—like avocado, salsa, or a dollop of Greek yogurt. You can even make it into a fajita bowl with a bed of rice or serve it over greens for a low-carb option.

If you’re looking for meal ideas that keep your family fueled, check out Real Food Dietitians! They offer a wealth of recipes that make it easy to bring joy and nourishment to every meal without spending hours in the kitchen. For all those busy families out there, I can’t recommend their site enough.
